Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Elizabeth Guidry Castille. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 pm until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 8 am until 9:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at 6 pm on Tuesday. Fr. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Kayla Gary and Kristie Carline. Gift Bearers will be Cecilia and Ronald Harrist. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge Elizabeth Guidry Castille, 82, of Breaux Bridge, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Elizabeth 'Betty' enjoyed a full life on earth. She loved to read, 'visit' and drink coffee with family and friends. She was well known for her cooking and baking. She enjoyed cooking for many holidays, family gatherings, and for legislative sessions at the Greenhouse in Baton Rouge. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Castille Huval and husband, Russel; her son, James Castille and wife, Tina; her brother, Thomas J. Guidry, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Karla Huval, Francis Huval, Kayla Huval Gary, Kurry Huval, Cary Castille, Stacey Shaw, Chelsea Castille, and Madison Castille; six great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Guidry, Sr. and Therese Angelle Guidry; her husband, Lewis J. Castille; and her brother, Jesse J. Guidry. Pall Bearers will be Francis Huval, Gene Guidry, Dean Guidry, Kurry Huval, Conrad Gary, and Matthew Landry. Honorary Pall Bearers will be her great grandsons, Logan Huval and Cameron Gary, and her nephew, Mike Guidry. The family would like to extend a very special thanks and appreciation to the Doctors and staff of Lafayette General Medical Center and Dr. Deidre Stelly and St. Martin Hospital, for their warmth, compassion, and special care in her time of need.
