She so enjoyed being surrounded by her family. She was a wonderful seamstress and LOVED dancing with her husband of 45 years. She was like a mother to many; very caring and always giving of herself. She had a strong faith in God and was a life survivor. She always gave unselfishly of her time and energy, as a caregiver, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, a sister, and a wife. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
'We love you dearly Mom.'
Survivors include her husband Linden Champagne, Sr.; her son, Linden Champagne, Jr. and his wife, Peggy; her daughter, Elizabeth Melancon and her husband, Robbie; her brother, Chester Latiolais and his wife, Barbara; her sister, Ella Mae Latiolais; six grandchildren, Peter and Ben Champagne, Brandi, Chelsea, and Clint LeBlanc, Jr., and Kristen Champagne; and one great grandchild, Kaydence LeBlanc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Angeste and Felicia Courville Latiolais; and two sisters, Polly Guidry and Emma Lou Bourque.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12 noon until 10 p.m. on Saturday and continue on Sunday at 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
