Elizabeth Rasmussen

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2005, at St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Elizabeth "Betty" Mae Rasmussen, 48, who died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Opelousas General Medical Center. Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Betty was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas and also attended mass at St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville. She enjoyed playing bingo, softball, and going fishing, and also spending time with her family. Survivors include her mother, Eula "Tim" Dupuis Rasmussen of Opelousas; one sister, Sheila R. Savoy and her husband, William "Bill" of Cecilia; three brothers, Danny Earl Rasmussen, Phillip James Rasmussen, and James Vincent "Vince" Rasmussen, Jr. and his wife, Gisele Bertrand, all of Opelousas; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Vincent Rasmussen, Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Noah and Odile Richard Dupuis; and her paternal grandparents, William and Elizabeth Frey Rasmussen. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 pm. on Monday, March 13 2006; continue at 8:00 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Pallbearers will be Shane Breaux, Todd Broussard, Kevin Dupuis, Blake Broussard, Tyler Latiolais, and James Vincent Rasmussen, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Hilton Barne, Patrick Savoy, Richard LeBlanc, Kim Signorelli, and Tony Dupuis. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
