Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, July 21, 2017, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Elizabeth Faye Savoy, 59, who passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:30 am until 10:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Carmen Degeyter and Jaylin Calais. Gift bearers will be Jansson Boudreaux and Tagen Degeyter. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Elizabeth was born January 25, 1958 in Arnaudville. She enjoyed playing cards and listening to music, especially Elvis Presley, he was her favorite. Elizabeth loved being with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara Dupuis and husband, Norris, and Cheryl Boudreaux and husband, Patrick; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Cherry and Mary Ann Patin Savoy; and an infant brother, Carey Charles Savoy. Pallbearers will be Norris Dupuis, David Dupuis Jr., Toby Degeyter, Jacob Boudreaux, Shannon Dupuis, and Blake Wiltz. Honorary pallbearer will be Wilton Wiltz.
