Ella Mae Dugas

Arnaudville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church honoring the life of Ella Mae Dugas, 92, who passed away on January 9, 2025 at Opelousas General Hospital.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Arnaudville on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM on Wednesday.

Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the funeral mass. 

Burial will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery.

Ella was a devoted Catholic and a long-time member of St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, where she actively contributed her talents as a member of the choir and the Ladies Altar Society. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, inspiring those around her with her kindness and generosity.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Dugas and Jerry (Merylyn) Dugas; grandchildren, Christopher Dugas and Beau Remi Dugas; great-grandchild, Caiden Dugas; brothers, Edward (Lois) Bergeron and Robert (Bonnie) Bergeron; and her sister, Betty Tacker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Dugas; grandchild, Cash Dugas; Parents, Remi and Beatrice Bertinot Bergeron; sibilings, Webster "James" Bergeron, Chester Bergeron, Earl Bergeron, Sr., Roy Bergeron, Annabelle Stelly and Mary Bergeron.
