New Iberia - Memorial services will be at 6:30 PM, on Monday, July 13, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Eloi Lewis Dugas, 51, who passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009 in St. Martinville. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. Born on July 13, 1957 in New Iberia, Eloi worked for National Oil Well Varco. He enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Alice Dugas of St. Martinville; mother, Laura Mae Legnon Dugas of St. Martinville; daughter, Kathleen Champagne of Breaux Bridge; brother, Lynn Dugas and wife Debra of New Iberia; sisters, Gwenlynn Boudreaux and husband Mertile Joseph Boudreaux, Jr. of New Iberia, Gilda Veazey and husband Heith of St. Martinville; granddaughter, Hailey Champagne. He was preceded in death by his father, Lenis Joseph Dugas; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eloi Dugas, Harry Legnon, and Thelma Stutes. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 4:00 PM until 6:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
