Eloise Roberts

Cecilia- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Eloise Spinner Roberts, 72, who passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday and continue at 7:00 am until 10:45 am on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Cliff Roberts and Judy Hebert. Gift Bearers will be Amelia Laparie and Lacie Rae Aucoin. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Eloise had a passion for cooking and especially loved to cook on Sundays and holidays. She loved her family unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with them, as well as her friends. In her free time she enjoyed playing Pokeno and gardening. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Paul Roberts of Cecilia; three sons, Cliff Roberts of Cecilia, Bryan Roberts of Broussard, and Kyle Roberts and fiance, Connie, of Lafayette; two daughters, Paula Steele and Diana L. Delacruz, both of Cecilia; two brothers, Curtis Spinner and wife, Gerrie, and Benny Spinner and wife, Jolinda, all of Simmesport; seven sisters, Loretta Este and husband, Don, of Marrero, Linda Kay Billodeau of Bordelonville, Cheryl Rodgers of Hammond, Rachel Juneau of Alexandria, Terry Ebarb, Reba Terrell and husband, Jimmy, and Shannon Dodge, all of Simmesport; six grandchildren, Trey and Tyler Steele, Lacy Rae Aucoin, Kelsie, Brilie, and Landon Roberts; and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Emily Coston Spinner; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Roberts; son-in-law, Suli Delacruz; a sister, Virgie Spinner; two brothers, Travis and Clint Spinner; a niece, Lisa Spinner; and a nephew, Chas Spinner. Pallbearers will be Cliff Roberts, Bryan Roberts, Kyle Roberts, Trey Steele, Tyler Steele, Landon Roberts, and John "Jr." Roberts.
