Elvina Meche

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, October 20, 2008, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Elvina Meche, 88, who passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Fr. P. Austin Leger, will conduct the services. Readers are Lea Duval and Alan Meche. Gift bearers are Abagail Meche and Adriane Ledet. Survivors include her sons, Stoney Meche and his wife, Leatrice of Arnaudville and Mike Meche and his wife, Jane of Lafayette; Her daughter, Priscilla Lastrapes and her husband, Joe of Arnaudville; Her sister, Rita Lormand of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Melissa Ledet and her husband Dennis, Shane Meche and his wife, Minnie, Todd Meche and his wife, Kelly, Errol Meche and his wife, Tammy, Alan Meche and his wife, Virginia, Lea Duval and her husband, Channing, Ross Meche and his wife, Molly and Cheryl Patin and her husband, David; her 18 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Meche; her brothers, Claude and Norbert Meche, Jr. and her sister, Hilda Meche. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2008 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Todd Meche, Errol Meche, Alan Meche, Ross Meche, Dennis Ledet and David Patin. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
