Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Monday, April 28, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Elvis James Thomas, 51, who passed away on Monday, April 21, 2008 at his residence.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. James Fallon, Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass.
Elvis loved baseball, hunting and doing mechanic work. There was no greater joy than being at his "girls" games and watching them participate. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Melissa, of 25 years, his children, loved ones and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Perrodin Thomas, of Breaux Bridge; three daughters, Kendria Marie Thomas, Megan Renee Thomas, and Skylar Faye Thomas, all of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Theresa Davis, of Breaux Bridge; his father, Walter Thomas, of Raceland; four brothers, Gerald Thomas of New Orleans, David Davis, of Breaux Bridge, Robert Thomas and Garland Thomas, both of Dallas, TX; four sisters, Dorothy Abraham, of Houston, TX, Virginia Garrett, of Dallas, TX, Zelda Thomas, of Raceland, and Tekita Thomas, of Raceland; and two grandchildren, Kameryn Renee Wiltz and Keyan Ray Wiltz.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 7 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Johnathan Cormier, Andrew Demouchet, Glen Jean-Batiste, Keyvin Perrodin, Rodney Perrodin, and Ricky Gary.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
