Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Elzina Simon Tabor, 92, who passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue at 9:00 am until 12:30 pm on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday. Rev. Donald Pousson will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Tabor loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by two sons, John (Betty) Tabor, Jr. and Issac Tabor, all of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Jacqueline Dupuis and Cheryl Tabor (William) Sepulvado, all of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Milton (Lilia) Simon of New Iberia; three sisters, Augustine (Alberie) Hebert, Lorena Laperouse, and Shirley Douet, all of St. Martinville; 18 grandchildren, ;42 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Cephas Tabor, Sr.; her parents, Essay and Armontine Laviolette Simon; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Tabor; her son-in-law, William Wade Dupuis, Jr.; two brothers, Nicholas and Wilton Simon; and three sisters, Mable Delcambre, Inez Babin, and Alena Menard. Pallbearers will be Sean Malorin, Mike Dupuis, Chris Tabor, John Tabor III, Mark Dupuis, and Joshua Tabor. Honorary pallbearer will be Francis Dupuis.
