Breaux Bridge-A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Emelda A. Allen, 68, who passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Hyland Community Hospital in Picayune, MS. The family request that visiting hours be observed on May 4, 2019 at 9:00 am to 11:00 am time of funeral service. Elder Rickey A. Duffy will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery in Lafayette, Louisiana. Emelda was born in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Junius Abraham and Marina Benjamin Abraham. She attended Lafayette Parish Schools. The family would like to express appreciation to the doctors and staff at Highland Community Hospital who took good care of her. She is survived by her son, Terry Abraham Sr., and wife Barbara of Picayune, MS; brother, REV. Wilbert Abraham and wife Emma of Mobile, AL, sisters Mary Jane Johnson and husband Alvin of Tulsa, OK; and Ethel Duffy and husband Elder Ricky Duffy of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Allen, daughter, Iris Amphy, grandson, Ter’Yiris Abraham, mother Marina Benjamin Abraham, and father Junius Abraham. Pallbearers will be Glendale Arceneaux, Montreal Alfred, Terry Abraham Jr., Robert Dalcour Jr., Tristan Arceneaux, Izaiah Abraham. Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Abraham Jr., Wilbert Abraham Jr., Tony Abraham, Emmanuel Abraham, Rickey Duffy Jr., Markeil Edmond, Adam Abraham, Rashawn Duffy.
