Emelda Hymel Pecoul Honeycutt

New Orleans - Memorial graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM, on Friday, April 8, 2016, at St. Vincent Cemetery on Soniat Street, in New Orleans, for Emelda "Moosie" Hymel Pecoul Honeycutt, 86, who passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016, in New Iberia. Rev. Louis Arceneaux will officiate. Mrs. Honeycutt was born on April 29, 1929 in New Orleans to Leonce Hymel and Helen Thibodeaux. She volunteered for numerous Children's Christmas Parties, and also for the Shriners Ladies Auxiliary in New Orleans.. Survivors include her daughter, Jean Nelson and husband Dr. Larry Nelson of New Iberia; son, James Pecoul of Slidell; grandchildren, Ashley Nelson Van Leer and spouse Joseph, Brandie Pecoul, and James Pecoul, II. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James Pecoul, Sr.; second husband, Auther Honeycutt; siblings, Roland, Elvin, Charlton, Ernest, Beatrice, and Wiltz.
