Emery Bernard

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, January 7, 2008, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Emery Bernard, 79, who passed away on Friday, January 4, 2008 at his residence in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville Rev. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. John Franics Regis Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Survivors include his daughter, Resa M. Richard and her husband, Joseph of Arnaudville; his sons, Emery Eugene Bernard and his wife, Sheila of Mississippi, Donald W. Bernard and his wife, Linda, Jimmy D. Bernard and his wife, Amanda, Lucas Bernard, and Brian D. Bernard and his wife, Belinda all of Arnaudville; his brother, Rudolph Thibodeaux of Arnaudville; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia Cunningham Bernard, his mother, Edna Bernard Laviolette and his brother, Andrew Bernard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 am, Sunday, January 6, 2008 until 9:30 am, Monday, January 7, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Lucas Bernard, Donald Bernard, Jordan Bernard, Brian Bernard, Shane Bernard and PFC Joseph T. Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Bernard, Emery E. Bernard and Joseph T. Richard, Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
