Emery John Dautreuil

Cecilia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Emery John Dautreuil, 72, who passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 12:30 pm on Friday and continue until 12:45 pm on Saturday. A rosary will be recited on Friday evening (time pending). Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift bearers will be his grandchildren. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Dautreuil played lead guitar for 60 years. He enjoyed working in his garden and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Huval Dautreuil of Cecilia; four sons Mitchell Dautreuil, Sr. and his wife, Shelly, of Lafayette, Bryan Dautreuil and his wife, Kelli, Chad Dautreuil and his wife, Cherie, and Eddie Perez and his wife, Jennifer, all of Cecilia; 12 grandchildren, Derek Dautreuil, Tara Haydel, Mitchell John Dautreuil, II, Taylor Dautreuil, Caddee Dautreuil, Gracie Dautreuil, Alex Dautreuil, Harli Cormier, Mason Hebert, Jade Hebert, Brianna Perez, and Sophia Perez; 8 great grandchildren; his brother, Laurie Dautreuil of Cecilia; and his sister Rita Marks of Arnaudville. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Ella Knott Dautreuil; four brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Dautreuil, Sr., Bryan Dautreuil, Chad Dautreuil, Eddie Perez, Derek Dautreuil, Mitchell Dautreuil, II, and Carl Dautreuil.
