Emma Guigneaux Landry

St. Martinville A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Emma Guigneaux Landry, 88, who passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013, at Resthaven Nursing & Rehab Center in Lake Charles. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in St. Martinville from 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 am on Thursday. Rev. Augustinus Seran, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Michelle Miller and Morgan Landry. Gift Bearers will be Kaylie and Abby Semien and Morgan and Shannon Landry. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Mrs. Landry was the co-owner of Landrys Grocery and Dry Cleaners in St. Martinville. As a pastime, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting, and she especially loved making blankets for all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Emma treasured the many times she would spend with her family and friends, and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Donald) Semien of Lake Charles; two sons, Harvey (Yvonne) Landry of Fort Worth, TX, and Glenny (Connie) Landry of Michigan; her brother, Alvin (Inez) Guigneaux of New Iberia; her sister, Bernice Landry of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 happily married years, Maurice Joseph Landry; a son, Ronald Landry; her parents, John and Agnes Broussard Guigneaux; and a special nephew, Barry Landry. Pallbearers will be Steven Semien, Alvin Guigneaux, Jr., Nathan Haack, Shane Lopez, Brett Bajoie, and Wesley Wiltz. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Derouen, David Miller, Ryan Derouen, Nathan Lopez, and Ross Olivier.
