LaRose, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in LaRose, Louisiana for Emmett James Danos, 55, who passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, and continue on Tuesday at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in LaRose, LA from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Monday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Ronilo Villamor will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Julia Mayet and Becky Rodgers. Gift bearers will be Enrique Dantin and Alaina Guidry.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in LaRose.
Emmett was born and raised in LaRose, Louisiana and was a graduate of the class of 1980 of South LaFourche High School. He worked as a salesman in the oil and gas communications industry all his life. Emmett was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stacey Cheramie Danos; his son, Jaden Danos and girlfriend, Lainey Rees; his sisters, Laura Dantin and husband, Jerry, Jennifer Cheramie, and Lorrie Boudreaux and husband, Terry; and one brother, Glenn Danos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, August Joseph and Lauravie Rita Cheramie Danos.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Boudreaux, Jonathan Bronzoulis, Myles Cheramie, Jerry Dantin, Jr., Mel Guidroz, and Paul Meche.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity, 630 Arthur Street, Lafayette, LA 70501.
