St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Enola Marie Porter, 80, who passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Camelot of Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday.
A rosary will be prayed at 8:30 am on Saturday.
Rev. Michael Sucharski, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Yolanda Notto and Verna Calais. Gift Bearers will be Sherelle Richard, Laurissa Broussard, and Delana Johnson.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Mrs. Porter enjoyed cooking, baking, visiting with the sick, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Alley Porter of St. Martinville; daughters, Lois Calais and husband Larry of Cecilia, and Mary Corsey and husband Greg of St. Martinville; sisters, Leona Charles of New Iberia, Mildred Wiltz of New Iberia, Mazel Wiltz of New Iberia, Laura Broussard of New Iberia, and Mary Louise Wiltz of New Iberia; brother, John Wiltz, Jr. and wife Judy of New Iberia; grandchild, Justin Calais of Cecilia; sisters-in-law, Eula Darby of Youngsville, Weola Landry of Youngsville, and Willie Mae Calais and husband Delanie of Breaux Bridge; and brother-in-law, Roland Porter and spouse Rita Mae of St. Martinville.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Wiltz, Sr.; mother, Alice Matthews Wiltz; brothers, L.J. Wiltz, Norris Wiltz, Russell Wiltz, and Frederick Wiltz; mother and father-in-law, Willie and Viola Porter; sisters-in-law, Wonna Mae Porter and Adeline Etienne; and brother-in-law, Stilley Charles.
Pallbearers will be Horace Darby Jr., Roland Porter Jr., Joseph Rex Landry Jr., Michael Darby Sr., Jahmal Charles, and Michael Darby Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roland Porter Sr., John Wiltz Jr., Justin Calais, Greg Corsey, Delaine Calais Jr., Delaine Johnson, and Willie Polite.
