Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 24, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Enola "Bee" Theriot, 98, who passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017, in Breaux Bridge.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm Monday.
A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Monday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will be the Homilist. Readers will be Pauline Bordelon and Johanna Guidry. Gift Bearers will be Rachel Theriot and Liz Dickerson.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Theriot was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who passed away peacefully at St. Agnes Rehab surrounded by her loving family. For many years, "Bee" worked at VJ Theriot Store. She then retired from Gary Memorial Hospital, known today as St. Martin Hospital, in the dietary department. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and working in her flowers. She had great love and devotion towards the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mrs. Theriot was a member of the Perpetual Adoration, Alter Society, and Catholic Daughters. Her gentle soul and kindness touched the lives of many.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Agnes Rehab, especially Ms. Deanna, Katie, Wander, who were devoted to her. Also, the family would like to share words of thanks to Hospice of Acadiana and Dr. Degatur.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Rita Malorin and husband, Lenny of St. Martinville and Gloria Terrell and companion, Jack LeBlanc of Carencro; son, Preston "Tiger" Theriot and wife, Nell of Parks; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Theriot; sons, Joseph Ray "T-Ray" Theriot and Rodney James Theriot; father, John A. Guidry; mother, Pauline Dore Guidry; brothers, Roy and Howard Guidry; sister, Rose Mae Hawkins; daughter in law, Phyllis Theriot; son in law, Harold Terrell.
Pallbearers will be Alex Bordelon, Chase Theriot, Ron Dickerson, Tony Robin, Kyle Theriot, and Jack LeBlanc.
