Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Eric Paul Pierret, 29, who passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.
Reverend Fr. Paul LaFleur, Pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the funeral service.
Eric was an avid fan of the L.S.U. Tigers who enjoyed watching football games and going to the horse races with his father. ?Eric's passion for music began at the young age of 11 when he started playing the drums. ?As a musician, he served as the drummer in the bands, ""Beg"" and ""Green Light Caravan."" ?He highly enjoyed working for Quality Machine Services, LLC and was greatly respected by his peers and co-workers for 5-plus years.
Survivors include his father, Donald ""Don P."" Pierret, of Breaux Bridge; his mother, Madeline Gray and husband, Ted, of Butte LaRose; his fianc?e, Andrea Jochimsen, of Breaux Bridge; one brother, Gregory David and his wife, Pam, of Augusta, GA; one sister, Cathy Mathews English, of Covington, GA; his nephew, Chad Louis Langley and wife, Julie , of Covington, GA; his great niece and great nephew, Macy Grace Langley and Lucas Tillman Langley; his aunts, Leona Pierret Guilbeau and husband, Ned, of Youngsville, and Veronica DeGroat and husband, David, of New Iberia; his other mother, Judy ""Ju Ju"" Prejean, of Lafayette; and a host of cousins and special friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Louviere, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Percy Paul Pierret; a sister, Theresa Gail Pierret; and an uncle, Leonard Louviere, Jr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, with a family share time from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Pallbearers will be Greg David, Jeremy Prejean, Josh Prejean, Aaron Prejean, Jarret Hobbs, and Dusty Prejean.
Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Shaw, Chris Manuel, John Manuel, and Jason Hobbs.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to family and friends, and for unspoken prayers from across the nation. ?Everyone's support and words of encouragement has been a sustaining foundation for their family, and will be forever remembered in their hearts.
