Erick John Romero

New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 19, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Erick John Romero, 55, who passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family. Elder Ralph Julien will officiate. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday from 8:00 am until 11:00 am. A rosary, led by the Men's Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Sunday. A lifelong area resident, Erick John Romero was born on July 21, 1965, and graduated from New Iberia Senior High. He worked as a Tool Maintenance Technician II with Oil States Energy Services, and was a former member of the Coteau Volunteer Fire Department. Erick loved playing pool and baseball, but what he cherished most was time spent with his family. He will be deeply missed. Erick is survived by his loving wife, Tisha Owens Romero; his mother, Elizabeth Mallet Romero of New Iberia; daughters, Ashley Viator (Ryan) of Lafayette, Heather Romero of New Iberia, and Amanda Romero of Brusly; stepdaughters, Bre-Ann Rachel and Brelynn Adams; stepson, Brandon Hull (Taylor), all of New Iberia; a brother, Chris Romero of New Iberia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willis and Ann Owens of New Iberia; three step-grandchildren, Quinton, Rowan and Thomas; and his beloved furbaby, JoJo. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Romero; and former wife, Wanda Breaux Romero. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made be made to the family. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. George Constantino and staff for extraordinary care of Erick.
