Cecilia - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Ernest David Friedman, III, 65, who passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 am on Thursday until time of service.A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 on Thursday.Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Ernest was born April 8, 1956, in New Orleans, LA and was raised in Breaux Bridge, LA. Ernest was a longtime member of ARC in St. Martinville for 28 years and enjoyed spending time with his friend, Corey. He enjoyed dancing to music of all types, watching the LSU Tigers, and playing sports outside; his favorites being baseball and basketball. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Some would say he was a "Momma's Boy" as his mother dedicated and devoted her life to taking exceptional care of him. He was an angel on Earth and will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his mother, Joycelyn Friedman; brother, Tucker Jude Friedman; sisters, Shelly Benoit (Leonard), Myra Tuttle (David), and Melinda Guidry (Terry); and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest David Friedman. Pallbearers will be Tucker Jude Friedman, Nicholas Friedman, Lowell Guidry, Leonard Benoit, Terry Guidry, and Micha Meche.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Traditions Health and his caregivers, Mary Lou Ella Calais, Rochelle Charles, and Shelly Benoit.
