Ernest Charles Tauzin, Sr.

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Thursday, July 6, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Ernest Charles Tauzin, Sr., 85, who passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 10:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Neil Pettit will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Ernest was born August 4, 1931 to the late Andes and Ida Begnaud Tauzin. He was a member of the Cajun French Music Association. Ernest loved Cajun music, dancing, and fishing, He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Ernest Tauzin, Jr. and wife, Patricia, and Avery Paul Tauzin; his daughters, Florence Tauzin and Melinda Wall; his sisters, Genevieve Hebert and Lucy Pentz and husband, Gary; his grandchildren, Joseph Wall, Daisy Wall, Joshua Wall, Luke Wall, Marcie Tauzin, Ernest Tauzin, III, Avery Posadas, and Tallon Tauzin; and his great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Richard Tauzin; his parents; a son, Aaron Tauzin; his siblings, Chester Tauzin, Audrey Hardy, Ronald Tauzin, and Louise Broussard; and a grandchild, Wendy Wall. Pallbearers were Ernest C. Tauzin, III, Talon Tauzin, Avery Posadas, Joe Wall, David Wilkinson, and Rich Knight.
