Esther Champagne Douet

Parks - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 23, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks for Esther Champagne Douet, 86, who died Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Douet was a former member of Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons, Alexander Douet, Jr. and his wife, Lelia, of Breaux Bridge, and Nolan Douet and his wife, Vienna, of Parks; one daughter, Priscilla Martin and her husband, Michael, of Parks; one sister, Enola C. Melancon of Parks; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Douet, Sr.; her parents, Joseph and Armide Courville Champagne; two brothers, Antoine and Arista Champagne; two sisters, Maria Frederick and Martha Theriot; and one grandson, Errol Douet. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 am ~ 10:00 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 and continue at 7:00 am, Thursday, February 23, 2006 until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Wednesday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
