Coteau Holmes - Funeral services will be held at 2:15 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2005, at Coteau Holmes Full Gospel Church in Coteau Holmes for Ethel Martin Horton, 77, who died Monday, October 17, 2005 at her residence. Interment will be in Coteau Holmes Full Gospel Cemetery in Coteau Holmes. Survivors include her sons, James Melancon and his wife, June of St. Martinville, Kenneth Girouard of Catahoula, and John Burt Girouard of St. Martinville; her daughters, Sandra Carline and her husband, Smoky of Coteau Holmes, Sonya Chavez and her husband, Jimmy, and Laurie Trimble and her husband, Mark, all of St. Martinville; her brother, Jun Lanclos of Henderson; her sister, Hazel Lormand of Scott; sixteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Euclide ""Pep"" Girouard; her parents, Alfred and Adolisca Daigle Martin; two brothers; and three sisters. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 p.m. on Thursday and continue until time of service on Friday at Coteau Holmes Full Gospel Church.
