Ethel 'Pete' or 'Annie' Huval

Saint Martinville - Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in Saint Martinville, for Ethel Huval, 79, who passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Camelot of Broussard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Rusty Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers are Blayze Landry and Jackie Stephens and serving as gift bearers are Stacey Landry and Tammy Trimble. Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in Saint Martinville. Ethel was referred to as "Pete or Annie by her family and friends. She was a member of the Azalea and Bayou Camping Club. Ethel spent many weekends camping with her clubs. She enjoyed traveling, and getting together with family. Her home was in Cade until she and her husband became full time campers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked 8 years at Roland Breaux, CPA in New Iberia. She also worked 23 years in the Accounting Department at Bruce Foods located in Cade,LA until her retirement in 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Badon and her husband, Norris of Breaux Bridge; her sons, Dayne Huval and his wife, Kathy of St. Martinville, Craig Huval, Joey Huval, and Darin Huval and his wife, Regina all of Cade; her grandchildren, Stacey Landry, Shawn Bergeron, Tammy Trimble all of St. Martinville, Nichelle Bourque of New Iberia, Jude Huval and Chelsea Huval of Cade; her great grandchildren, Blayze Landry, Bevyn Landry, Elle Bergeron, Aubrey Trimble all of St. Martinville, Chloe Huval and Clayton St. Julien both of Cade; her sisters, Marian Melancon of St. Martinville, Gloria Henry of Lafayette and Jackie Stephens of Denver, CO; her brothers, Robert "Bob" Broussard of Tacoa, GA, Wilbert "Pert" Broussard of Tomball, TX, Wendal "Den" Broussard of Las Vegas, NV, and Jimmy Broussard of Dallas, TX She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Jay" Huval; her parents Dizier and Eunice Berard Broussard; and her son, Burt J. Huval. Pallbearers will be Shawn Bergeron, Jude Huval, Aubrey Trimble, Scott Landry, Billy Trimble and Kim Henry. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Stephens and Rolland Huval. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and CNAs in the gold hall and all of the staff of Camelot of Broussard, and Hospice Compassus for their extraordinary care and support.
