New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Ethel LaBiche Louviere, 81, who died Saturday, October 15, 2011 in New Iberia . Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery . Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. Born on January 17, 1930 in Lydia , Mrs. Louviere worked as a bookkeeper for several years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, going to the casino, and traveling. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Dewey Louviere of New Iberia; daughters, Rosalind Louviere of Jeanerette, Desiree Pourciau and husband Loren of New Iberia, Paulet Rivet and husband Kurt of New Iberia; grandchildren, Ben Prince and wife Beth of New Iberia, Emmy Judice and husband Clint of Franklin, Drew Prince and wife Sarah of Jeanerette, Peyton Pourciau and wife Courtenae of New Iberia, Victoria Pourciau of New Iberia; and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Desire and Emmerite Landry LaBiche; brothers, Namest LaBiche, Willis LaBiche, Lionel LaBiche, Cleve LaBiche, Eli LaBiche, Hilton 'Pete' LaBiche; sister, Odette Burke; and a granddaughter, Holly Prince. Pallbearers will be Ben Prince, Drew Prince, Peyton Pourciau, Kurt Rivet, Loren Pourciau, and Clint Judice. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 3:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Monday.
