Eugene Joseph Verrett

Morgan City A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Morgan City Cemetery & Mausoleum, 450 Myrtle St., Morgan City, LA 70380, for Eugene Joseph Verrett, 78, who passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Mr. Verrett was a United States Navy Fleet Reserve retiree who honorably served his country in the Vietnam War. He was an engineer contractor for One CIS Insurance Company and a member of the American Legion and the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club (LA 1). Eugene enjoyed motorcycles, boating, camping, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Francis JoAnn Lewis Verrett of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Earl Verrett and his wife, Gee, and Glenn Verrett and his wife, JoAnn; his sister, Barbara Robicheaux; his nieces, Siti and Lauren Verrett; his nephew, Christopher Verrett; and several other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Eunice Belliot Verrett; his brother, Jerry Verrett; and his step-father, Lawrence Hebert.
