Eugene "Gene" Louis Wyble Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Eugene "Gene" Louis Wyble, 67, who passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7:00 am until 9:00 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Rev. Gary Schexnayder will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Readers will be Jed Angelle, Yvonne Guidry and Penny Frederick. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Gene was born November 22, 1949 to the late Murphy and Edith Wyble. For 15 years, he worked in the oil industry and also a fireman at the Henderson Fire Department. Gene was a life member of Gold Wing Road Rider's Association. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife Kathy, hunting, and shooting pool. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family. Gene will greatly be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving spouse of 47 years, Katherine Robin Wyble; daughters, Christine and husband John H.E. Downs, III, and Michelle Wyble and companion, Gary Dupuis; brother, Clyde Wyble, Sr.; sisters, Yvette Wyble and Lea and husband Jeff Homan; grandchildren, Asha Shae Downs and companion, Skyler Arnaud, Taysha Azlema Downs and companion Sade Arnaud, Kale Jude Patin, and Kylie Michelle Patin; and his great-grandson, Reece John Arnaud. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brothers, Ricky Wyble and Charles Wyble; and one stillbirth sibling. Pallbearers will be Clyde Wyble Sr., Kale Jude Patin, John H.E. Downs III, Gary Dupuis, C.J. Wyble, and Glenn Patin. Honorary pallbearers will be Zackery Wyble, Red Roussel, Ronnie Leger, Charlie Primeaux and Gold Wing Road Rider's Association Members.
