Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, May 10, 2010, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Eugenie 'Da-Boon' Schexnider, 90, who passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Rev. Allen Breaux, will conduct the services. Mrs. Schexnider, affectionately known as 'Da-Boon' was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her sons, Ernest Schexnider (Patsy) of Henderson, Raymond Schexnider (Dorothy) of Breaux Bridge, Ray Schexnider (Loretta Theriot) of Breaux Bridge, William Schexnider (Melinda) of Shreveport and Sam Schexnider (Sandra) of Breaux Bridge; her daughters, Lydia Schexnider of Henderson, Barbara Schexnider (Joe Theriot) of Cecilia and Linda Frelich (Paul) of Breaux Bridge; her brothers, Loveless Leonard of Morgan City and Newell Leonard of Lake Charles; her sister, Mildred Meaux of Kaplan; her 27 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and 6 great great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernest Schexnider; her 2 grandchildren, Michael and Gerard Schexnider; her 4 sisters and 4 brothers. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, 2010 and continue at 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Yancy Blanchard, Justin Blanchard, Joshua Blanchard, Tom Landry, Zachary Latiolais and Toby Legrand. Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Courville, Ian Legrand, Michael Kolenberg and Casey Brasseaux. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
