Eula Mae Champagne

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am, on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Eula Mae Champagne, 79, who passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2 pm until 10 pm on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Fr. Rusty Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Jonathan Bertrand. Gift Bearers will be Michael Paul Champagne and Lonnie P. Champagne. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Eula Mae enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved decorating for all holidays and looked forward to playing Pokeno every month with her family and friends. Eula Mae loved her dog, Nikki, and her bird, Birdie-bird. She is survived by her sons, Lonnie Champagne and wife Amanda of St. Martinville, and Willis Courville and fianc Ramona of Bull Island; her daughters, Rachel Touchet and husband Norris of St. Martinville, Pearlle Colbert and husband Ronald of Four Corners, Linda Theriot and husband Avery of Coteau Holmes, Priscilla Bulliard and husband Edmond of St. Martinville, Elizabeth Knight of St. Martinville, and Tammy Martin and fianc, Jimmie of St. Martinville; her brothers, James Courville and fianc Cindy, Dennis Courville and wife Cipriana, Brannon Courville and wife Louella, Raymond Courville and wife Peggy, and David Courville; her sisters, Dianna C. Broussard and husband Carrol, and Brenda C. Thibodeaux and husband Allen; 25 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband, Rufus Champagne; her parents, Joseph Courville, Jr. and Yola Theriot Courville; her sisters, Eunice Courville Barras and Una Courville Borel; her brothers, Willis Courville, John Courville, and Daniel Courville; her son-in-law, Leonard Earl Knight; and a great-grandson, Alek James Bienvenu. Pallbearers will be Todd Touchet, Lon Theriot Jr., Eric Bulliard, Jacob Bulliard, Willis Courville Jr. and Blake James. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher, Hunter, Orie, and Dustin.
