BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, October 22, 2010, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Eula Mae Zeringue Tauzin, 84, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Bethany MHS Health Care Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Deacon Marcel 'Butch' Hebert will conduct the funeral service. She was born on November 30, 1925 and was a homemaker and longtime resident of Breaux Bridge. Eula was a woman of strong faith and love of God, who believed in the power of prayer and prayed the Rosary many times each day. Survivors include three sons, David Tauzin and his wife, Cecilia, of Port Allen, Mike Tauzin and his wife, Ellen, of Baton Rouge, and Mark Tauzin of Lafayette; one brother, Alfred Zeringue of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Mary Lee Winstead and her husband, Ben, of Breaux Bridge; four grandchildren, Michelle Rene, Melody Tauzin, Troy Tauzin, and Sam Tauzin; and two great grandchildren, Griffin Dufour and Shelbylin Wicker. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Lloyd Tauzin; and her parents, Albert and Editha Guidry Zeringue. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and continue on Friday at 8 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening. Pallbearers will be Troy Tauzin, Jerome Tauzin, Cory Williams, Tim Nessmith, Jimmy Melder, and Sam Irwin. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and residents at Bethany for their compassionate care of Mom these last seven months. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethany MHS Health Care Center, 406 St. Julien Ave., Lafayette , LA 70506. Pellerin Funeral Homeof BreauxBridge is in charge of arrangements.
