New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 31, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, in New Iberia for Eunice Darby Buteau Bourque, 93, who died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Rev. Mark Derise will be the Celebrant.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bourque was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Floyd Darby and wife Shirley, Terrell Darby and wife Dossie; her daughters, June Darby Armentor and husband Donald, Diana Darby Bellow Fruge and husband Acey Fruge, Jr. and Judy Darby Menard and husband Donald, all of New Iberia. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 8 great -great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Bernard Darby, Jr., Edwin Buteau and Lorphy Bourque; her sons, Richard, Carroll and David Darby; her parents, Felix and Arvella Boudreaux Dartez; her brothers, Oliver, Laurent and Amar Dartez; her sisters, Ella, Zwolle, Constance, Carmelite, Lawrence and Olivia Dartez; daughter in law, Bonnie Meyers Darby and son in law James Bellow.
Pallbearers will be Chad Darby, Donald Armentor, Jr., Chris Darby, Troy Fruge, Jude Armentor and Mitchell Darby.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, from 2:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed Thursday evening at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 PM at the funeral home.
