Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM, on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau, for Eunice Delahoussaye Comeaux, 101, who passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, in New Iberia. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Barry Crochet will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 9:00 AM until 12:15 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A native of St. Martin Parish, Mrs. Comeaux was born on October 2, 1914 to Armand and Marie Rose Champagne Delahoussaye, She was a retired cook, having worked for the Iberia Parish School Board and Slick Willie's. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. . Survivors include her children, Russell Comeaux and wife Debbie of New Iberia, and Betty C. Warnick of Lamirda, CA; sister, Bernice Hebert of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jerry Burke, and Anthony "Tony" Burke; great grandchildren, Stephen Burke, Kristyn Burke, Shane Burke, and Lauren Turner; great great grandchildren, Haylie, Hayden, and James. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alphonse Comeaux; siblings, Maurice, Ulysse, Percy, and Anna.
