Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Eunice Thibodeaux Maturin, 74, who passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Fr. Paul LaFleur will officiate at the funeral Mass. Gift bearers will be Karlie Leger and Taige Leger. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Eunice was retired from the City of Lafayette, where she worked as an accounting supervisor. Survivors include three daughters, Paula Leger and her husband, Kendal, of Sunset, Roxanne Melancon and her husband, Randy, of Lafayette, and Phyllis Richard and her husband, Tim, of Carencro; her half-sister, Yolande Champagne; seven grandchildren, Toby Leger and his wife, Espee, Troy Leger, Blake Melancon, Tracy Leger, Blaine Melancon, Bryce Melancon, and Brandon Richard; and six great grandchildren, Taige Leger, Kobie Leger, Karlie Leger, Zoey Melancon, Chloe Leger, and Cameron Melancon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marie Bergeron Thibodeaux; her brother, Ozaire Thibodeaux; and her half-brother, Wilfred Thibodeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Pallbearers will be Toby Leger, Troy Leger, Blake Melancon, Blaine Melancon, Bryce Melancon, and Brandon Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be Taige Leger, Kobie Leger, Kendal Leger, Randy Melancon, and Tim Richard. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
