Eunice Savoie

Arnaudville- Funeral services will be held at 11 a .m. ., on Thursday, July 7, 2011 , at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Eunice Domec Savoie, 75, who passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at her residence. Rev. Keenan Brown will conduct the services. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Eunice enjoyed walking, gardening, going to the casinos, and playing Bingo. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her 2 sons, Ronald J. Savoie and his wife, Carol of Arnaudville and John Henry Savoie and his wife, Rachel of Henderson; her 5 daughters, Dianne Stelly of Arnaudville, Henrietta Hollier and her husband, Rickey of Broussard, Nita Savoie of Arnaudville, Melissa Kidder and her husband, Patrick of Arnaudville, and Melanie Martin of Arnaudville; her brother, Harry Lee Domec of New Orleans; her 3 sisters, Louise Guidroz of Opelousas, Laura Breaux and her husband, Ray of Carencro, and Jane Melancon of St. Martinville; her close friend and caretaker, Marie Knott; her 14 grandchildren, Amanda, Leslie, John Luke Stelly, Aimee, Ashley, Christy, Erin, Lacey, Justin, Julie Savoie, Heather Figueiredo, Stacy Langeaux, Alison, and Brooke Martin; and also her 9 great grandchildren, Brianna, Reagan McGee, Kalli Landry, Kaiden Taylor, Camryn Figueiredo, Aiden Figueiredo, Jenna and Baby Lagneaux, and Cohen Gobert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Savoie; her parents, Felix and Blanche Thomassee Domec; her sisters, Isaure Doolan, Anna Stelly, and Nita Domec; her brothers, Thomas Domec and Joseph Domec; her grandsons, Mark Blaine Savoie and John Larry Stelly, Jr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. Wednesday until time of service on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Ronald Savoie, John Savoie, Rickey Hollier, Patrick Kidder, John Luke Stelly, and Justin Savoie.
