Euphemie Hollier

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, August 29, 2005, at a mass of christian burial in St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Euphemie "Fayme" Hollier, 92, who died Friday, August 26, 2005 at her residence in St. Martinville. Interment will be in St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. The Reverend Austin Leger will officiate. Survivors include her husband, Larry Hollier; daughters, Agnes Hulin of Youngsville, Margaret Segura, Rosebelle Breaux, and Patsy Gonzales, all of St. Martinville; her sons, Julien Poirier, Jr. of Erath, Francis Poirier of New Iberia, Ewell, Rodney, and Donald Poirier, all of St. Martinville; her sisters, Rita Hulin of Youngsville, and Una Terrebonne of Coteau; her brother, Willis Romero of Youngsville; 38 grandchildren; 74 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ozife and Editha Romero; two daughters, Edmae Freeman and Julia Blanchard of St. Martinville; her son, Louis Poirier of Erath; one grandson; one great great grandson; her brothers, Andrew Romero, Joseph Romero, Odressie "Bill" Romero, O.C. "Pierre" Romero, and Ophie Romero; and her sisters, Etta Romero, Ozile Touchet, Eunice Romero, and Ozita Romero. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 8:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Terry Segura, Nicholas Gonzales, Toby Breaux, Danny Poirier, Allen Freeman, and Rodney Poirier, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Ewell, Rodney, Julien, Donald, Rodney and Timothy Poirier. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
