Eva Lewis Alexander

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Monday, April 17, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Eva Lewis Alexander, 81, who died Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Alexander participated in various church activities, and cooked for many priests at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge. She enjoyed caring for the elderly and providing all with her skills of being a great cook. Survivors include her husband, Joseph R. Alexander of Breaux Bridge; her sons, Gerald Alexander and his wife, Shirley of Breaux Bridge, Joseph C. Alexander of Franklin, Robert Alexander and his wife, Delores of Breaux Bridge, Wilbert J. Alexander and his companion, Louella of Breaux Bridge, Herbert L. Alexander and his wife, Doris of Baytown, TX, and Herman Alexander of Breaux Bridge; her daughters, Mary Joyce Williams and her husband, Harold of Houston, TX, Mary Ella Lewis and her husband, Samuel of Houston, TX, Betty J. Heddgepeth and her husband, James C. of Mid West City, OK, and Sylvia Ann Lewis and her husband, Larry J. of Cecilia; her brothers, Paul Lewis of Breaux Bridge and Leroy Lewis of Houston, TX; her sister, Enola Abraham of Breaux Bridge; twenty-eight grandchildren; and forty-three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Lorenzia Fournet Lewis; her brothers, Walter, John, Allen and Clarence Lewis; and her sister, Noelie LeBlanc. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2006 and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
