Eva Beverly Benoit

Lydia - Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Eva "Beverly" Benoit, 79, who passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Rev. Gregory Chauvin will officiate. Entombment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville. A native of Abbeville and a resident of Lydia, Mrs. Benoit was born on November 4, 1935 to Whitney and Eunice Lemaire Harrington. She enjoyed dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Dwight Benoit of Parks, Debbie Benoit of Lydia, Ray Benoit of Lydia, and Anita Broussard of New Iberia; sisters, Earline Sonnier of Coteau Holmes, Dorothy Rugg of Denver, CO, and Linda Protti of Metairie; brothers, Alvin Harrington of Harvey, and Melvin Harrington of Memphis, TN; 5 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Benoit; brother, Collins Harrington; and a sister, Juanita Brown.
