New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church for Eva Bayard LeBlanc, 59, who died Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Iberia Medical Center, in New Iberia.
Entombment will be follow in the Church Mausoleum.
Msgr. Harry Bennerfield, will be the Celebrant, assisted by Deacon John Sarkies. Gift Bearers include Debbie Tamplain, Lindsey LeBlanc, and Pennye Conner. Readings will be proclaimed by Morris Kohnke and Clay Charles LeBlanc, Jr.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Eva was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, and had previously worked at City Bank, and Iberia Savings and Loans. She enjoyed crafts and sewing.
Survivors include her husband, Mark A. LeBlanc of New Iberia; her mother, Helen Margery Delcambre Bayard of New Iberia; daughter, Andrea Claire LeBlanc of New Iberia; brother, William J. ""Bill"" Bayard and wife Peggy of New Iberia; sister, Margery Kohnke and husband Morris of Madisonville; granddaughter, Halle Renee Dautriel of New Iberia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dalton Jules Bayard, and an infant brother.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Tuesday. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 10:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church, until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Chris Kohnke, Ken Kohnke, Sammy Caulkins, William Bayard, James Bayard, and Billy Tamplain. Honorary Pallbearers include Willie Schultz, Heneritta Gossen, Debbie Bedia, and Pennye Conner.

The extraordinary and compassionate care given to Eva by Dr. Mark Charbonnet, the staff of Acadiana Oncology, Dr. Gerard Sigue, Dr. Kirk O'Brien, the ER staff and 2nd Floor staff of Iberia Medical Center, and Cecile ""Poogie"" Jeanmard for her special care, will always be deeply appreciated by her family.
