Evelyn Picard Gary

New Iberia - Evelyn Picard Gary, 82, of New Iberia passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia at 11:00 am Saturday, February 23, 2019. Entombment will be at a later date. Rev. Korey LaVergne will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 pm Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am. Evelyn was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren with whom she enjoyed most of her time with. She loved music, gardening, and crafting. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Lesikar and husband, Steven of Magnolia, Texas, Mary Broussard and husband Mark of Loreauville, and Janice Binkley of Frisco, Texas; sons, Paul Gary and wife Christine of New Iberia., Richard Gary and wife Angela of St Martinville, and Thomas Gary and wife Renee of New Iberia, grandchildren, Brad Landry, Katherine Sawyer, Brian Gary, Ethan Gary, Courtney Underwood, Emilie Broussard, Garrett Broussard, Allyson Gary, William Gary, and Maximus Miller. She is also survived by her brother Purvis Picard and wife Elmae; sisters, Enella Broussard and Louise Domingue and husband, Pat. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Beo Picard and Lillian Lopez Romero; sister, Earline Louviere and husband Oswald; brother, Rennis Picard and wife, Jerry; and brother- in- law, Eldridge Broussard. Pallbearers will be Paul Gary, Richard Gary, Thomas Gary, Brad Landry, Garrett Broussard, Ethan Gary, and William Gary. Honorary Pallbearers include Bryan Gary, Maximus Miller, and Purvis Picard.
