New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, on Friday, February 13, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Fay Gaspard, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter will be officiating. Born on March 30, 1931 in Abbeville, Mrs. Gaspard enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, and collecting angels. Survivors include her daughters, Liz Delcambre and husband Jody of Loreauville, Dolores Stoltz of New Iberia; son, Raymond Gaspard of Loreauville; step daughter, Julie Hebert of Loreauville; brothers, Preston "Fuzzy" Hebert of New Iberia, Ory Hebert and wife Gypsy of New Iberia, Arcade Hebert, Jr. and wife Brenda of Delcambre; sisters, May "Grace" Guilliot of Abbeville, Laura Mire of New Iberia; grandchildren, Ricky Padgett and wife Holly, Chad Padgett and wife Brandi, Kim Padgett, Kasey Delcambre, and Jason Gaspard; great grandchildren, Clay Padgett and Chloe Padgett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odras J. Gaspard; father, Arcade Hebert, Sr.; mother, Margarite Gaspard Hebert; brothers, Eli "Black" Hebert, Lester Hebert, Roland Hebert, Robert "Bob" Hebert; sisters, Anna May Hebert, Mary "Mim" Romero Landry; special nephew, Christopher Guillot; step son, Jerry Hebert. Pallbearers will be Jody Delcambre, Anthony Delcambre, Kasey Delcambre, Hilton Stroder, Ricky Padgett, Chad Padgett, and Marcus Stroder. Honorary Pallbearers include Raymond Gaspard and Jeremy Stroder. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 8:30 AM until 3:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia.
