New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 9, 2015, at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Fay LeBlanc LaBauve, 88, who passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015, in New Iberia.
A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Wednesday. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Rev. Nicholas DuPre' will be the Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. LaBauve was born on September 26, 1926 in New Orleans to Rex LeBlanc and Lelia Landry, and had worked for several businesses throughout the years including Lofflan Brothers, Ashland Oil, Main Motors, and The Arc. A people person, Mrs. LaBauve enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Leah Ellender of Slidell, Angela LaBauve of Saint Martinville, and Chris LaBauve of New Iberia; brother, Hawley J. Gary, Jr. and wife Verna of New Iberia; sisters, Carole Rogers of Broussard, and Merle Bernard and husband Barney of New Iberia; grandchildren, Erin Whidden, Renee LaBauve, Phillip Broussard, Jessica Ellender, and Allison Ellender Harrison; great-grandchildren, Evan Gott, Spenser Gott, Keaton Gott, and Lelia Fay Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelsea Broussard Gott, and a great-grandson, Timothy Gott.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Broussard, Jason Whidden, Michael Bernard, Jon Goodyear, Al Goodyear, and Todd Gary.
