Felix Couvillier

New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 5, 2012, at Assembly Christian Center, in New Iberia, for Felix 'Blanc' Couvillier, 83, who died on Friday, November 2, 2012. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Paul Neel will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A native of Iberia Parish, Mr. Couvillier was born on April 11, 1929, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Throughout his life, 'Blanc' worked for several companies including, Parr Industries, Patin Tires, Industrial Fab, Petra Drive, Rose Dental Lab, Patout Burns Firestone, Omega Services, and Red Fox. He was a member of the St. Mary Parish and St. Martin Parish AARP. Survivors include his brother, Harry Couvillier and wife Rose of Coteau; sisters, Leah Seaux of New Iberia, Lillie Beadle of Morgan City; grandchildren, Robert Burke and wife Pamela, Wayne Couvillier and wife Sarah, Dawn Crum and husband Charlie, Joy Gonsoulin, April Couvillier, Christine Burke; 8 great grandchildren; and a special friend, Jeanette Dufrene. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertie Couvillier; parents, Ano and Aline Norris Couvillier; daughter, Linda C. Burke; brothers, Aristide, John, Homer, Walter, Howard; and sisters, Lucy, Rena, and Lucille. Pallbearers will be Brad Romero, Brett Romero, Mark Vaughn, Jared Romero, Randy Daigle, and Johnny Couvillier. Honorary pallbearers include Robert Burke, Joe Breaux, Rusty Romero, Harry Couvillier, and Dennis Seaux.-.
