Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Felix St. Julien, Jr., 63, who passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at his residence.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. James Fallon will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Mr. St. Julien was an educator for 34 years; the majority of those years were spent teaching at Evangeline Technical College, after teaching for 3 years in St. Martinville. He was a member of the St. Martin Parish Teachers Association. Felix enjoyed teaching his students and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends at various family gatherings.
Survivors include his wife, Verna Alexander St. Julien, of Breaux Bridge; three sons, Ricky St. Julien, of Alabama, Jarvis St. Julien, and Bradford Navy, both of Breaux Bridge; five daughters, Ella Mae Alexander, Ciara St. Julien, Megan St. Julien, all of Breaux Bridge, Madria St. Julien, of Alabama, and Danielle St. Julien, of Lafayette; two brothers, James St. Julien, of Texas, and Ernest St. Julien, of California; one sister, Rose Mary St. Julien, of Lafayette; and one granddaughter, Madeline Moco.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Yvonne and Felix St. Julien, Sr.; and his son, Felix St. Julien, III.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Danny, Joseph and David Sylvester, James and Tilaska Alexander, and Bradford Navy.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
