Felix Menard

New Iberia – Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Felix Menard, 82, of New Iberia, passed away on July 8th 2020. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Armand Prentiss will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm. Felix was born in St, Martinville, Louisiana to Clair Marie (Nepveaux) and Armand Menard Sr. on March 22nd, 1938. He worked as a Gentlemen’s Tailor for Garden of Eden Bridal Shop and was a veteran and served in the Army. Felix was a kind person and devoted Christian who would visit nursing homes on a regular basis to share the gospel of Christ. Felix was always positive and enjoyed making people laugh with his endless jokes. Felix is preceded in death by his parents Armand and Clair, his four brothers and five sisters, August, Simon, Willis, Angel Marie Romero, Rita Dubois, Armand Jr. Jeanne Leblanc, Theresa Boral and Evelyn “Bird” Broussard. Felix is survived by his sister-in-law, Rita Romero, nieces, Linda Thibeaux, Debbie Guidry (and husband Alvin), Vicky Brigham (and husband Les), six grand-nieces/nephews and nine great grand-nieces/nephews. Pallbearers will be Les Brigham, Jason Thibeaux, Mike Thibeaux, Thomas Brigham, Kerry Viator and Tim Lasalle.
