Felton "Fat" Brown, Sr.

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Felton "Fat" Brown, Sr., 82, who passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday morning from 7:00 am until 10:00 am. 

A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday morning. 

Fr. Charles Ozuome, SSJ, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. 

Felton, affectionately known as "Fat", was a farmer for over 30 years. He loved watching baseball, specifically the Astros and Dodgers. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors and working on cars. Above all, Felton loved being surrounded by his family, and enjoying a good meal. He will be remembered as being caring and helpful, as well as a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his son, Felton Brown, Jr.; daughters, Evelyn Brown (Tara Lee) and Patricia Brown; sisters, Sue Anna Aubert (Harold) and Mary Julien (Isaac, Sr.); grandchildren, Jasmine Brown, Henry Brown, Kenya Brown, Domonique Brown, Jaylin Brown, Marquia Brown, Orionne Brown and Brennen Brown; and great-grandchildren, Demetrian Brown, Jayce Wiltz, Miley Wiltz, McKenzie Brown, Cohen Brown, Malayah Brown, Kaizen Brown, and Drayce Landry. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Sylvester Brown; great-grandchild, Denim Glover; parents, Samuel Brown, Sr. and Evelyn Gary Brown; brothers, Nelson Brown, Louis Brown, Samuel Brown, Jr., and Anthony Brown; and his sisters, Edna Charles, Rose Sylvester, Verda Brown, and Nola Mae Brown Ames. 

Pallbearers will be Jaylin Brown, Brennen Brown, DeQuincy Sam, Darryan Alexander, Freddy Foster, and Perry Julian.
