Florette LeDoux Patin

Breaux Bridge - Florette Ledoux Patin, 86, died April 1, 2006, at Lafayette General Medical Center. A memorial service to honor her life was held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 7, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, LA. Florette decided to donate her body to the LSU Medical School to be used for research and study; therefore funeral home visitation and interment will not take place. Florette was a native and life-long resident of Breaux Bridge. ?She received her teaching degree from SLI and was an educator at Cecilia Jr. High for 30 years. ?During those 30 years she had the opportunity to touch the lives of her students in many ways. She had a passion for travel and was fortunate enough in her lifetime to see the world. She thoroughly enjoyed sitting down with a good book and also relished a good cup of coffee during visits with friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Noe and Elizabeth Ledoux; her husband, Ovey John Patin; and a son, Kelly Patin. Mourning her departure yet cherishing the many beautiful memories include three sons, Michael W. Patin and wife, Nanette Nolan Patin, of Baton Rouge, Perry Patin and wife, Dorothy Guidry Patin, of Breaux Bridge, and Donnie Patin of Lafayette; her five grandchildren, Sacha Houssiere Patin of Austin, TX, Kelly Lee Patin Rutz and her husband, Carson Rutz, of St. Louis, MO, Patrick Paul Patin, of Las Vegas, NV, Daniel John Patin of Lafayette, LA, and Sara Elise Patin, of Dallas, TX.
