A Vietnam War Veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Air Forces, a retired thirty year employee of Flemings Industries, a native of Parks and a resident of Lafayette, he died Wednesday, April 02, 2008 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. ?He was 61. ?
Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge, Thursday, April 3rd, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 4th. ?
Services are scheduled for Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating at the funeral Mass. ?Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Arista and Edia G. Frederick and is survived by his sisters, Verna Patin, Lena Miller, Anna L. Frederick, Loula Dupuis and Donna Guillory, all of Breaux Bridge, and Inez Deason, of Baton Rouge. ?He is survived by his brothers, Larry of Hammond, Steve of Breaux Bridge, and Luther of St. Martinville. He is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews, 28 great nieces and nephews, his godfather, Lee Frederick, and many close friends. ?He is survived by three step children.
Floyd was a graduate of Breaux Bridge High School and attended The University of Southwestern in Lafayette. ?
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Marty and David Patin, Lonnie Miller, Craig Frederick, Ryan Dupuis, Todd Frederick, Chad Frederick, Grant and Stuart Guillory, and Clifford Theriot.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends, Lee Frederick and Wilfred Grossie.
