Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette, for Floyd J. Huval, Sr., 76, who passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:30 am until 9:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 10:15 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Brian Taylor will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Dana Stelly and Pam Melancon. Gift bearers will be Nicola Theriot and Annette McLeod. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. Floyd was the owner of Huval's Heating and Air Conditioning for 54 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Floyd enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and always looked forward to playing a good game of Bourr and Dominos. He was a member of the Louisiana Heat Pump Association and the Omaha and San Saba Hunting Clubs. Floyd was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Spell Huval; sons, Chris Huval and wife Rustie, and Floyd "Buddy" Joseph Huval, Jr.; daughters, Gail H. Bourque and husband Lyle, and Dana Faul and husband Karl "Blackie"; brother, Nathan Huval; grandchildren, Johnathon L. Bourque, Jordon R. Bourque and wife Candace, Dustin J. Faul, Lana M. Huval, and Landon L. Huval. He was preceded in death by parents, Aurlien and Hellen Broussard Huval; a son, Lawrence "Te-Lou" Louis Huval; and his former wife, Earline S. Huval; brothers, Leroy, Francis, and Lloyd Huval; and sisters, Solonge LeGrand, Annalou Albert, Leena Dupuis, Ireen Hebert, and Estelle Wiltz. Pallbearers will be David Dupuis, Jr., John Huval, Russel Huval, L.J. Huval, Jordon Bourque, and Johnathon Bourque. Honorary pallbearers will be Blackie Faul, Dustin Faul, David Dupuis, Sr., Lyle Van Fleet, Omaha Hunting Club, and San Saba Hunting Club.
