Floyd Jolet

Lydia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Floyd Otto Jolet, 81, who passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Jeanerette. Mr. Jolet was born on November 11, 1933 on Weeks Island to Herman and May Bourque Jolet, and was a graduate of St. Peter's College. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, was a retired pipe fitter, welder and plumber. An antique car enthusiast, Mr. Jolet was member of The Old Car Club, and was also a licensed airplane pilot. He also enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion and Pipe Fitter Union Local 106. Survivors include his brother, Patrick Jolet and wife Gwen of Broussard; sister, Sandra King and husband Billy of Thibodaux; daughter, Roxanne Jolet and companion Barry Breaux of Lydia; son, Lance Jolet of Lydia; daughter-in-law, Jamie Jolet of Lydia; grandchildren, Lauren Breaux and husband Nathan of Lydia, Brock Jolet of Broussard, Alex Broussard of Ruston, Courtney Jolet and wife Sara of Lydia, Logan Jumonville and wife Simmi Schaubert of New Iberia, and Hannah Carter of Kansas; great-grandchildren, Levi Jumonville, Karter Jolet and Aiden Garcia; former wife, Rose Louviere Jolet, and brother-in-law, Boykin Bourgeois of Charenton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Linke Jolet; sister, Flossie Bourgeois and brother, Herman Jolet. Pallbearers include Lance Jolet, Brock Jolet, Courtney Jolet, Logan Jumonville, Nathan Breaux, and Scott Legnon. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Breaux and Chad Legnon.
